Q. What is Colourpuncture?

A.Colourpuncture is an integrative system of holistic healing that combines powers of light and colours and is quite similar to Acupuncture. Colourpuncture is a new powerful therapy which can get to the roots of many health problems. It was developed by the German naturopath Peter Mandel about 40 years ago. During a Colourpuncture treatment we focus coloured light onto the acupuncture points and some specific reflex zones on the body, using a pen light. The difference between Colorpuncture and Acupuncture in this respect is that we use a pen light with glass rods of different colours instead of needles.

Q. Does Colourpuncture work?

A.The discipline is based on over 40 years of empirical research and development. The basis for the therapy is acupuncture, light therapy and colour therapy, all of which are established, time-proven therapies. If you would like to explore further the science behind Colourpuncture, please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with references to the relevant papers.
However, we feel that the best benchmark of a therapy’s success is its track record. Please refer to what our clients say on the subject for more insight.

Q. How does Colourpuncture therapy work?

A.Colourpuncture works in a very similar way to Acupuncture – but with a pen light instead of needles. It was developed after naturopath Peter Mandel discovered that acupuncture points are sensitive to coloured light.

And the way it works leaves you not only fitter physically, emotionally and psychologically; it also makes you more self-aware and gives you a chance to turn your lifelong issue into a beautiful new beginning. Here’s why…

Your body works in such a way that all memories of past events – happy or traumatic, big or small – are held in the cells. These become invisible ‘software’ programs that work daily by influencing the way you respond, physically and psychologically, to the events of the present. Running as an unrecognizable ‘default’, these often not-so-helpful programs also affect your future. The light and colours work by unlocking the root causes of stress, pain and disease, sometimes buried deeply in the subconscious or in trauma held in the body.

We believe that this new therapy of light and colours is truly beautiful and magical. Why? Here is a typical scenario of what happens when you decide to try out Colourpuncture.

You would usually come to us with a problem – physical, emotional or psychological – and we shed light onto your deepest body memories. Your issues then get released, and you get the chance to unleash your full potential, becoming the person you were born to be. Plus, you will get to know yourself much better in the process. Your past ‘reference’ experience, whatever it was, is no longer an underground reason for your future choices. Brought to the light, understood and processed, this experience then becomes your learned lesson, your wisdom and legacy, and not your pain or restriction.

So, the light and colours help you not just to get healthy, but as a bonus, you will become more self-aware and get the chance to turn your lifelong issues into stepping stones as you move to a better, happier You.

Q. How do you choose a therapy within Colourpuncture?

A. We use Energy Emission Analysis (EEA), a method based on the theory of the meridian system. The surface charge distribution density of fingertips and toes is made visible on photographic paper (in black and white) by using the Kirlian machine based on the Kirlian effect. We than analyse the picture using a topographical ‘map’ developed by Peter Mandel. We can see exactly which of the organs and body systems are out of balance – often long before you start experiencing any physical symptoms. The technique is valuable both for immediate diagnosis of your current situation and as a preventative measure. The patterns and phenomena on your Kirlian photo will be unique to you.  The images of both the tips of the fingers and toes of both hands and feet are represented on the same picture.

We will also use other holistic diagnostic techniques when choosing a therapy for you.

Q. How long will it take me to get better with Colourpuncture?

A.It is recommended that you have 3 initial Colourpuncture sessions, ideally one per week. If you are completely happy with the results of your initial 3 sessions, it is then recommended for you to have a follow-up session two weeks from your last one, which will balance out any possible reactions and make your new patterns stronger and more firmly anchored into your body-mind. By this time there should be significant progress. This is what is known as the ‘breakthrough’ stage of therapy.

For many patients, after the ‘breakthrough’, a regular biannual ‘maintenance’ session pair is usually enough, for the next 2 years, and after that, just one session per year. However, in some more complex cases – for example, with chronic degenerative diseases – you should have your ’maintenance’ sessions every 5-6 weeks, depending on the severity of the condition. Your particular situation will be discussed with you in detail beforehand and after the first three sessions.

In this way your body will gradually and naturally adapt to changes and you’ll use the power of circannual rhythms to your advantage. It is always wiser to help your body follow its natural rhythms rather than fight against them!  After your first year you can expect the positive changes you’ve made to start working for you even without you consciously remembering or reinforcing your new ways and patterns. During the second and third years it is recommended to have 2 sessions, preferably 2 weeks before a seasonal change (solstice, equinox). Afterwards, only one session per year should suffice. All of these are general guidelines, and vary for different individuals.

Q. How much does a Colourpuncture session cost?

Q. Is Colourpuncture safe during pregnancy?

A. There are certain acupuncture points which we do not touch during pregnancy. However, these are few and far between, so this is not a serious hindrance. During pregnancy, Colourpuncture is very beneficial for both mother and baby as it relaxes and balances the mother’s hormonal system. We’ve had many pregnant women come through our Colourpuncture treatment course who were very pleased with the results. You will be asked if there is any possibility of you being pregnant, in your medical questionnaire.

Q. Is Colourpuncture safe for children?

A.Yes. Colourpuncture is very beneficial for children; there exist certain child-specific treatments to address the common issues of childhood and puberty. We do not, however, carry out on children treatments aimed at uncovering issues in the deep subconscious.

Q. Are there any medical conditions which are a concern for Colourpuncture users?
A.Colourpuncture is a safe and non-invasive therapy and will benefit most people. However, if you have asthma, epilepsy or mental disease you need to discuss this with us before booking your session.

Q: Can I combine the therapies of Esogetic Medicine with conventional medical treatments?
A: Absolutely, same as Acupuncture, Colorpuncture is a complementary and not an alternative therapy.
